Andrew McMaster began his career as a bank teller for Westpac where, due to his professional manner and excellent customer service, he was personally invited to join the team at MYOB Australia by the company CEO himself. After just 12 months Andrew had become a Management Accountant of the firm.

During a holiday to Sunshine Coast in 2002 Andrew found that he much preferred the climate, the people and the atmosphere of beautiful Queensland when compared to Melbourne. Andrew then changed his career direction from Commercial Accounting to that of Public Accounting. Over a period of 10 years Andrew was continuously and progressively promoted until he reached the level of Senior Accountant with an invitation to become Partner of the firm he was working for.

Rather than take up this opportunity, Andrew chose to leave his Accounting career and instead established a business within the surfing industry. This venture began in his own garage at home and it soon moved to the Gold Coast. When this successful business was sold approximately 5 years later it was wholesaling to 600+ stores throughout Australia and exporting to 150+ countries worldwide.

During this time Andrew also became father to two beautiful (and very “active”) sons with his wonderful wife.

Andrew rejoined the Public Accountant profession in 2015 as a Senior Accountant to a firm in Murwillumbah, NSW. He carried on this role for approximately 5 years and has recently gone out on his own and established McMaster Business Accountants in Kirra Beach, QLD.

Andrew’s extensive career as a Senior Accountant where he provided services to thousands of clients, and his first hand experience commencing a business from scratch into a global enterprise, has given him the professional expertise to help his clients save on tax, build their businesses and improve their profitability.
